Mariah Wilcox- Club Director and Coach 758-0118•Email Mariah
I'm not busy. It's just a figment of all of ya'lls imaginations. I know some of you wonder why it takes me longer than three days to deposit the checks you write, but I do have a few other things on my plate! After 19 years of coaching high school volleyball, I "retired" to spend more time with our three awe-inspiring kids! They most certainly keep us busy, and I wouldn't have it any other way. By the end of the day, I definitely find my self in awe of how much energy they possess.
Along with chasing my kids to the increasing number of things they are involved in and being home during the week with my youngest, I also babysit two other little pee-wees, am subbing two days a week, and am now getting ready to be back in the gym for volleyball!
Steph graduated from Flathead High School as an All-State setter after three years of varsity volleyball. While at FHS, she pulled down 9 varsity letters! Following FHS, she played volleyball for one year at UM Western. Steph has coached for KMS and FVC and is currently the sophomore coach at FHS.
Steph definitely thrives on sports. She is an avid softball player (even plays it in the snow), loves to wakeboard and water ski, and plays on city league basketball teams. She even has time to play some volleyball now and then.
She has lived in Kalispell for 16 years, and is the mother to two very energetic and athletic children; Brody (9) and Addison (7).
Dani is a born-and-bred Montana native, having played most of her formative volleyball years in the boomin' metropolis of Choteau (home of Montana's greatest contribution to the culinary arts - Alpine Touch). She graduated from Choteau high after playing defensive specialist for three straight class B state championship teams.
Dani is a graduate of MSU with a degree in Sports Med./Athletic Training. While in college, she played on many club teams and officated volleyball, becoming a Master Official. While living in Boise with her family (husband Jay, and daughters Kori (16) and Cyan (10), she found time to keep playing the game she loved.
Dani loves being in the gym. She has been a personal trainer since 1997. She now belongs to the Cross-Fit cult and is consequently one ripped mama. Dani also owns her own company specializing in body care products: Montana Moonlight Body Essentials. Her and her family are into 4-wheelin', fishing, hiking, biking, boating, camping and many other outdoor pursuits.
Terry Gates-Junior High Coach
I'm a graduate of Flathead High and graduated from Montana State University. I started playing volleyball after high school and became addicted to the sport. I registered for every tournament and played 3-4 nights a week in the winter and played outdoors in the summer months, all three of them. While going to school in Bozeman I played on a club team for the college and continued playing tournaments. I still try to play at least two times a week all year long. In the summer you can find me setting up a net in Lawrence Park whenever I can find enough people to play.
